In 2018, the UWC International Board approved the UWC Common Standards for Safeguarding (available for download below). The Common Standards were developed by the Safeguarding Task Force with input from various external experts, including legal experts and safeguarding specialists from the Council of International Schools (CIS). UWC International and all entities of the UWC movement, including all UWC schools and colleges, have adopted the UWC Common Standards for Safeguarding within their policies and practices.
